Caveman Ninja [Arcade] – The Legendary Giant Tyrant Triffid / Joe, Mac

with 3 comments

Media: video game: “Caveman Ninja”
Developer: Data East
Platform: Arcade

The boss of the second stage is known as The Legendary Giant Tyrant Triffid. If you stand in front of it, it has a tendency to grab the cavemen with a vine and shove them in its mouth, chew, lick its lips and spit out the unfortunate caveman’s remains, which of course, means one life immediately lost. If successful, the Triffid will declare in a deep voice that the cavemen taste ‘Delicious!”. It is possible to escape the grip of the Triffid’s vines by mashing buttons, however.

If playing with two players, it is possible to attack the Triffid to cause it to spit the other character out intact, as opposed to their skeletal remains. However this does not save them from losing a life.

  1. Hey dude, I even restored the graphics of the videos and made them a bit more pleasing to view and look at, I’m very glad I could help out with your epic artical about the Legendary Giant Tyrant Triffid, the best and strongest boss in the Arcade, SNES, and Amiga versions =D

  2. OH one more thing, these are the lines the Legendary Giant Tyrant Triffid says when he’s in the SNES and Arcade versions.

    Arcade version
Misses grabing the players “Hey Cheeky”
    Slurps his lips “Delicious”
    Hurt “DAMN”

    SNES version
    Constantly “Come here”
    Hurt “DAMN”
    Downed “ROAR”

    • Hmm, I can hear it in the Arcade one when he says ‘Delicious’, but I can’t hear any of the others. The others sound like generic roars or growls or something.
