leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare”
Developer: Electronic Arts
Platform:
PS4, XBONE

Description:

The Chomper is able to swallow a zombie whole, either non-player or player, by approaching from behind, or burrowing underneath. This results in an instant vanquish, but leaves the Chomper vulnerable to attack, as it spends the next few seconds chewing and digesting its previous meal, before it is able to chomp another zombie. It will often burp to signify completion of digestion. Zombie parts are often seen sticking out of the Chomper’s mouth during this process. Read the rest of this entry »

with one comment

Media: video game: “Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos”
Developer: Blizzard Entertainment
Platform:
Computer

Description:

The kodo beast unit – somewhat resembling a large rhinoceros – is first usable in the third chapter of the Orc Campaign, but can be accessed at any time with the use of the Warcraft III World Editor. Kodo beasts are able to swallow an enemy unit whole, though cannot devour heroes, air units or high level enemies. Swallowed enemies are removed from the map, and their portrait is displayed in red with their health bar slowly depleting – signifying digestion damage. Once their health bar is depleted, the kodo beast belches and can once again use their devour ability. If slain before digestion is complete, the trapped unit is freed. Read the rest of this entry »

Radical Rex [Genesis, SCD, SNES] – Allosaurus / Radical Rex

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Radical Rex”
Developer: Beam Software
Platform: Genesis, SCD, SNES

Description:

Radical Rex can be seen carelessly skateboarding into the mouth of an allosaurus twice in the game. At the beginning of level 3 – known as ‘Inner Works 1’ – Rex is seen skateboarding and attempts to stop once he sees his would-be predator, but gets eaten anyway (his skateboard is spit out). Similarly at the beginning of level 8 – ‘Inner Works 2’ – Rex does an aerial trick with his skateboard and inadvertently lands in the mouth of what appears to be the same dinosaur. Both of these levels are convoluted maze levels with what one would imagine is inside a living creature, including stomach acids. If Rex falls into the acid pits, he will immediately disintegrate and lose a life.

A level select code exists – on the game start screen (where “1 Player” etc. can be selected),  input the following using the second controller:

  • On Genesis and Sega CD: A, C, Down, Right, Up, B.
  • On SNES: Right, A, Down, Right, Y, X.
