Neopets [Web] – Turmaculus / Petpets

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Neopets”
Developer: The Neopets Team
Platform: Web

Description:

In the Meridell hub world, the Turmaculus can be visited, as a semi-daily activity. He, himself, is a Turmac Petpet, albeit a very overgrown one, attributed to non-stop eating. The daily activity involves trying to wake him up for a reward, and is able to be woken during a select hour each day, and will often reward items, NP, or other benefits such as healing Neopets. Perhaps the most sought after (and perhaps, rarest) outcome is the Turmaculus eating your Neopet’s Petpet. Of course, this results in permanent loss of that Petpet, but it also rewards the player with the Turmaculus unlockable avatar, as well as unlocking him to fight in the Battledome. This is not animated and is conveyed with text and still pictures.

The unlockable avatar depicts the Turmaculus with its tongue extended towards a Petpet he holds in his hand, and shares artwork with the Turmaculus trading card (physical card as well as featured as a digital item). Other official Turmaculus artwork exists, though is not featured in the actual activity itself.

Neopets [Web] – Grarrl, Skeith, Jetsam / Various

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Neopets”
Developer: The Neopets Team
Platform: Web

Description:

Normally items in Neopets have predetermined uses; you can read items to Neopets if they are books, use them to play if they are toys, equip if their are equipment, feed if they are food, et cetera. There are exceptions, such as Grarrls (T-rex-type) and Skeiths (dragon/demon-type), who are known for their appetite for anything, and indeed, can eat any item, including items that are sentient, such as Petpets and any other non-food item, like furniture or rocks (beware items costing millions of NP!) and will often comment on the taste. Level of satiety will also be commented on. Jetsams (shark-type) can do this as well, but only with aquatic Petpets, and doing so actually unlocks a special avatar.

Please note, the following screenshots have been heavily edited to conceal identifying pet names and usernames.

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Worm Run”
Developer: Golden Ruby Games
Platform: Android, iOS

Description:

In this mobile game, the player controls Zeke, who must outrun the giant worm for as long as possible to avoid being eaten. Should he fail, the worm will catch him in its jaws, chew, swallow and burp, before slithering away. If the player has 75 or more Grubies collected on that run, there will be an option to revive, during which the worm will continue chewing on Zeke indefinitely until a choice is made. Reviving will cause the worm to become stunned and spit Zeke out, allowing that run to continue. An unlockable item known as the Skunk Juice can be purchased with the Grubies, and carrying this when being eaten has the same effect as a revive, though is used immediately.

Media: video game: “Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare”
Developer: Electronic Arts
Platform:
PS4, XBONE

Description:

The Chomper is able to swallow a zombie whole, either non-player or player, by approaching from behind, or burrowing underneath. This results in an instant vanquish, but leaves the Chomper vulnerable to attack, as it spends the next few seconds chewing and digesting its previous meal, before it is able to chomp another zombie. It will often burp to signify completion of digestion. Zombie parts are often seen sticking out of the Chomper’s mouth during this process. Read the rest of this entry »
