Media: video game: “Sdorica”
Developer: Rayark Inc.
Platform: Android, iOS

Description:

The character, Karnulla, has a passive skill in which he will counter an attack, by striking the front row enemy with his long tongue. If Karnulla is raised to his SSR tier [Apex Predator], and is attacked while he has the Enhance buff, he will instead grab the front row enemy with his tongue, pull them into his mouth, causing a large bulge in his jaw, before throwing them against the remaining enemies with said tongue. Though a playable character normally, [Apex Predator] Karnulla can be fought as an enemy in certain quests and retains this ability.

Description:

Puggi’s character quest has him adventure separately for Pang momentarily, and concludes when he tries to reunite with him, believing him to be in Whistlewood Valley. He follows some tracks, and spots an orange tail and lower body sticking out of the mouth of the giant plant, the Epic Nepenthes. Puggi tries to rescue him, only to find that after the plant had spit out the victim, it was in fact a Striped Prickear Monkey, not Pang. The Epic Nepenthes recovers shortly after and then lunges towards Puggi as the screen fades to black. Puggi wanders around the dark innards, only to rejoice after discovering some spoils inside.

This continues directly to Story Quest 3-7 ‘To Snatch a Seed’ where Tica and Leah encounter Pang, who is searching for Puggi in the same forest. After encountering and defeating the Epic Nepenthes, Puggi emerges with his treasures to rejoin Pang.

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Chop Chop Caveman”
Developer: Gamerizon
Platform: iOS

Description:

In this mobile game, the player controls a caveman in search for food. There are flytraps in various stages that will chew on anything that gets too close, the caveman included, but will spit him back out even if all his health is depleted (though he does turn into a piece of meat that other enemies can take, this is true when the caveman loses all health by any means and is not specific to the flytrap).

The first boss of the game is Szechuan, a boar, and must be defeated in this way. Stomping on it will stun it, but not damage it. In order to defeat it, the caveman must pick the boar up while stunned and feed it to a nearby flytrap.

Final Fantasy X [Computer, PS2, PS3, PS4, Switch, Vita, XBONE] – Great Malboro / Party Members

leave a comment »

Media: video game: “Final Fantasy X”
Developer: Square
Platform: Computer, PS2, PS3, PS4, Switch, Vita, XBONE

Description:

The Great Malboro enemies can be encountered in the Omega Ruins, Inside Sin or the Monster Arena if captured. If attacked with Delay Attack/Buster, it will counter by chomping the party member who inflicted Delay on it, before spitting them out. Interestingly, Aeons can also fall prey to the chomp attack, including Valefor (bird-like Aeon), Ifrit (demon-like Aeon), Ixion (unicorn Aeon), Shiva (female ice-elemental Aeon), Bahamut (dragon Aeon) and Anima (monster-like Aeon).

The Malboro Menace, which can only be fought in the Monster Arena, apparently has this ability as well, however, it seems to be much more difficult to trigger it to use its chomping attack.
