Kirby’s stationary special allows him to inhale other player characters, holding them in his mouth to later spit out, or copy their abilities. The engulfed player character can struggle to escape faster.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [Switch] – Pac-Man / Various

Description: 

Pac-Man’s Final Smash, ‘Super Pac-Man’ allows him to use his classic wedge form and traverse the screen to eat other player characters. When other characters are eaten, only their eyes remain, and a point score appears, reminiscent to the original Pac-Man games. If a character has 140% damage or more, they are instantly KO’d by this attack.

Description: 

Dedede’s stationary special allows him to inhale other player characters, swallowing them. He is able to move momentarily, and can spit them out. They are otherwise able to struggle inside and escape.

Description: 

Wario’s stationary special move causes his head to swell up and grab a player character directly in front of him with his mouth, trapping their upper body in it. He will chew, recovering health in the process before spitting them out.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [Switch] – Yoshi / Various

Description: 

Yoshi’s stationary special move allows him (or, it, if one is to be accurate) to flick out his tongue to grab a player character in front, to immediately swallow them and turn them into an egg. His grab move will grab an enemy with his tongue, but instead hold them in his mouth. A large bulge can he seen in his cheeks struggling. Pressing the basic attack buttons will cause Yoshi to chew, causing additional damage, and they can be spit out in various directions. Otherwise, the engulfed player character can struggle to escape faster.

Description: 

In the ‘Balloon Fight’ level, similar to its namesake game, if a player falls into the water, the giant fish emerge to seize the character in its jaws and drag them down into the water, presumably swallowing them (though in reality, pulling them down to the lower edge of the screen for a KO). Characters can struggle to break free.

Description: 

Bayonetta’s Final Smash is ‘Witch Time.’ If she successfully fills her gauge within the time limit, she will summon Gomorrah, a draconic demon to chew on her opponents and swallow them. If their damage is above 100%, this attack will cause an instant KO.

Description: 

In the ‘Distant Planet’ Pikmin-themed level, a Bulborb is occasionally seen approaching the right side of the level, opening its mouth. Any characters that are knocked into the mouth will be eaten, resulting in an instant KO. If a character is made invincible with a Super Star, they are able to stand in the Bulborb’s mouth and throat, but will be eaten once the invincibility wears off.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [Switch] – Mimikyu / Various

Description: 

The Pokémon, Mimikyu, can be summoned from a regular Pokéball, and will pull in a nearby enemy character into its body, resulting in a struggling bulge, dealing damage over time. If that character has 100% damage or more, they are instantly KO’d. In reality, however, Mimikyu is the Pokémon hiding under the sheet, rather than what the sheet resembles, so this may not technically be considered devouring.

Description: 

Battle 4 takes place in the Desert, where there are giant whirlsands. If the played character walks into, or is sucked into the centre of these, a gigantic reptilian mouth emerges and eats them, causing a life lost instantly. Playable characters include Super Geon (a muscular reptile monster), Cyber Woo (a cyborg ape) and Atomic Guy (a giant resembling a costumed superhero).
