Klonoa [Wii] – Nahatomb / Klonoa
Media: video game: “Klonoa”
Developer: Namco
Platform: Wii
Description:
The following is particularly spoiler-heavy.
The last boss of the game is known as Nahatomb and is described to be a ‘nightmare’ entity. Aside from spawning lesser enemies from the spines of his back and a generic slam attack using his limbs, Nahatomb’s first form can open his mouth wide and extend a long, red tongue to try and ensnare Klonoa, who must jump over it several times like a jump rope. Failure to do so successfully results in Nahatomb pulling Klonoa into his gaping maw, swallowing him and then ejecting him out of the spines of his back.
Once defeated, Nahatomb will inhale Klonoa to fight his second form, though his insides do not look biological. His second and third form do not seem able to eat Klonoa. Read the rest of this entry »

Developer: HAL Laboratory
Platform: SNES, Wii
Description:
In stage 3-6 of this game, most of the area is confined in a black pyramid-like structure. Toward its exit (taking the direct-right path in the main room), there are invisible enemies who only reveal themselves to you when you approach. They are simply disembodied faces. Much like Pacto of stage 2-3, if you stand under them, they will attempt to devour you. In Peloo’s case, it will extend a very long tongue to draw Kirby in before chewing him up and spitting him out, for half an icon of damage.
As also mentioned in the other Kirby’s Dream Land 3 posts, Kirby’s other friends who can fall prey include Kine the ocean sunfish, Pitch the bird, Coo the owl, Chuchu the slime, Nago the cat and Rick the hamster. Read the rest of this entry »

Kirby is then released, half an icon of health poorer than when he entered.
Each of Kirby’s friends who can fall prey to Pacto include Kine the ocean sunfish, Pitch the bird, Coo the owl, Chuchu the slime, Nago the cat and Rick the hamster.
