Description: 

The player(s) control the dinosaurs known as Rex, Bloop, Spike and Gwen (though only Rex and Bloop are present in the home versions of the game), and must collect all items while avoiding the one-eyed cavemen known as the Trog. Occasionally a pineapple power-up may appear during a level, and collecting it will cause the controlled dinosaur to temporarily grow into a T-rex, allowing them to devour any Trogs it encounters.

Description:

In one of the stages, known as Beach House Safrill, the Darkstalkers character Rikuo can be seen in the background as a non-playable cameo, struggling in the mouth of a giant snake.

Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge [Arc, NS, PC, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP, SS, XBO] – Le Malta / Various

Description: 

Lord Raptor has a teleporting ability known as Hell’s Gate, where his sidekick, Le Malta (frog-like creature?) swallows him, and spits him out elsewhere.

In order to perform Hell’s Gate, the player must input [half circle forward], [kick].

If Lord Raptor has at least one Special gauge stock, he can perform an EX Special known as Hell Dunk, in which Le Malta will emerge from under the opponent’s feet, take them in his mouth and spit them out as a ball towards Lord Raptor, who dunks them in a basketball hoop Le Malta subsequently transforms into.

In order to perform Hell Dunk, the player must input [forward, down, diagonal forward/down], [any two punch buttons].

  • Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge (modified arcade version using character roster from the second game in the series).
  • Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire (modified arcade version in which Rikuo, Jon Talbain and Sasquatch are replaced with Donovan, Huitzil and Pyron – hence this entry does not apply to this version of the game).
  • Darkstalkers 3 (Sega Saturn version contains all characters except Marionette, while the PlayStation 1 version contains all characters).

The Capcom Fighting Collection contains the three arcade versions.

Description:

One of the stages is called Green Scream, and is a jungle-type arena. In the background, the bottom half of a reptile can be seen sticking out of the mouth of a pitcher plant, whose tail is being pulled by another pitcher plant. The lizard can be seen struggling occasionally.

Concept art of the stage exists, in which the trapped animal appears more mammalian.

Dino Rex [Arc, PS2] – Tyrannosaurus, Ceratosaur, Allosaurus / Ankylosaur

Description: 

Smaller dinosaurs can sometimes appear when the level scenery is destroyed, notably in Day 2, an ankylosaur can be found if the left-most rock formation is destroyed. If playing as the large predators (Tyrannosaurus, Ceratosaur, Allosaurus), they are able to pick it up, throw it in the air and swallow it whole, with a small bulge going down its throat.

Dino Rex [Arc, PS2] – Pteranodon / Human

Description: 

At the conclusion of each fight, a mother Pteranodon will fly on screen to take away the human handler of the losing dinosaur in two slightly different ways. She will either swallow the losing human immediately before flying away, or take him away in her beak. If the latter happens to a human player, and faces a game over, a scene will occur where the mother Pteranodon is seen in her nest swallowing the player character. If the former occurs to a human player facing a game over, the same scene will play, but the Pteranodon will be seen with a bulge in her throat.

Description: 

At the end of the fourth level, there are platforms attached to toothy mouths resembling flytraps, that will descend when Arthur steps on them. If Arthur does not jump away in time and reaches a jaw, they will close on him, chew briefly, and then spit him out as a skeleton, as is his usual death animation, regardless of whether he has armor or not.
