Description:

The Empty Sea of Tears level is a boarding level, and in certain sections, there are large toothed pits in the ground acting as hazards that Klonoa can fall into, resulting in a life lost. Although they are complete passive, they appear vaguely biological.

Description:

Gaeatoad is a high-difficulty boss from the limited time event ‘A Midsummer Night’s Stroll,’ as well as the very high difficulty permanent Challenge quest, Wastelands War (Bertrand). It has a rarely used skill called Swallow, in which the skill animation shows a stylized, disembodied set of jaws appearing and inhaling the selected character. The jaws close on the targeted character and they disappear briefly with a gulping sound, and immediately reappear in a splash of saliva. Even if all HP is lost as a result of the attack, they will still be spit out.

Description:

Pyrix is a flaming saurian skeleton that can be obtained as a playable character. The following concerns their Style with the epithet [Flame Tyrant].

[Flame Tyrant] Pyrix’s first skill is Flame Fangs. The skill animation shows a stylized, disembodied set of fiery jaws appearing and inhaling the selected enemy and any enemies in the same column. The jaws close on the enemy and they disappear briefly and reappear in a burst of flames. Even if an enemy is defeated as a result of the attack, they will still be spit out.

Once learned, other Pyrix Styles are able to inherit this skill to use.

Description: 

Atomos is a boss that is fought atop of Barrier Tower, in the second world of the game. It takes the form resembling a large gate as an open mouth, and will cast strong single-target magic spells to knock out a character. Once a character is knocked out, it will slowly inhale them, pulling them towards itself. Should the knocked out character reach Atomos before being revived, Atomos will use an ability called Wormhole, causing the inhaled character to disappear into its ‘mouth’ and be removed from battle, with the message ‘Dragged into another dimension!’

Description: 

In the caves section of the game, there are toothed mouths that can be seen on the ground and tentacles overhead. If Lester fails to jump over the mouths, he will be pulled in, and a first-person perspective can be seen of a number of teeth closing on him, whereas if Lester fails to run past the tentacles, they will do the same, though the latter will cause him to bleed, whereas the former will not.

In order to get past a particular set of tentacles, Lester must shoot his gun so a nearby bat flies ands gets caught, allowing Lester to climb past safely.

Description:

In the limited-time crossover event with Trials of Mana, the final boss is against Zable Fahr. Much like in Trials of Mana, the blue and pink heads of Zable Fahr are able to do a combination attack called Diabolical Blast, in which the pink head will blow the player characters into the blue head’s mouth, who will chew them before spitting them out. However, in this game, there are issues in which the player characters may not always disappear into the mouth (which unintentionally mimics the situation in the Trials of Mana 2020 remake, in which Zable Fahr will only bite at player characters). Particle effects and damage numbers may also obscure detail.

Description:

Zable Fahr is a boss fought late into the game, taking the form of three disembodied demonic heads, and can be fought regardless of which character is chosen as the main character. It is the eighth Benevodon, available to fight only after the other seven are defeated.

If both the blue and pink heads are alive, they are able to do a combination attack known as Diabolical Blast, in which the pink head will blow a player character into the blue head’s mouth. The blue head will chew and spit them back out for a large amount of damage.

[Get to Work, Cottonball!] Cotton’s second skill is Swallow. The skill animation shows a stylized, disembodied set of jaws appearing and inhaling the selected enemy. The jaws close on the enemy and they disappear briefly with a gulping sound, and immediately reappear in a splash of saliva. Even if an enemy is defeated as a result of the attack, they will still be spit out.

Once learned, other Cotton Styles are able to inherit this skill to use.

Slugger is a worm-like boss enemy from the limited time event ‘Battle with Slugger.’ It has a rarely used skill called Swallow, in which the skill animation shows a stylized, disembodied set of jaws appearing and inhaling the selected character. The jaws close on the targeted character and they disappear briefly with a gulping sound, and immediately reappear in a splash of saliva. Even if all HP is lost as a result of the attack, they will still be spit out.

Slugger was later added to also be encountered in the main story, Quest 9-1-6 Bio Research Lab IV in the Liam Arc, but are much weaker, so are unlikely to last long enough in battle to use Swallow, or may constantly miss if the player’s party is too strong.
