Rayman Legends [NS, Stad, PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, XB360, XBO] – Moskito, Globox / Enemies

Media: video game: “Rayman Legends”
Developer: Ubisoft Montpellier
Platform: Computer, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Description:

The Hi-Ho Moskito! level in the Jibberish Jungle painting is one of the Back to Origins series of levels, which are unlocked through Lucky Tickets in-game.

In the beginning of the level, a Moskito will join the player character and act as a mount. Aside from shooting bullets, it is able to inhale enemies into its proboscis, potentially holding them inside indefinitely, and shoot them back out as stronger projectiles.

If playing as Globox, a smaller Moskito joins him and carries him instead, effectively making him the mount. In an identical way, Globox can suck enemies into his mouth and spit them back out.

Enemies in the level that can be sucked up include small flies, big flies, human hunters and the goblin-like Lividstones. The Moskito mounts also appear in various other Back to Origins levels, such as the Shooting Me Softly level in the Desert of Dijiridoos painting, where most of the enemies are birds; Aim for the Eel! level in Gourmand Land, where most of the enemies are lizards; and in the Fire When Wetty level in Sea of Serendipity, where most of the enemies are fish.

Last Cloudia [And, iOS] – Snow King Pokkle / Loug Mez

Media: video game: “Last Cloudia”
Developer: Aidis
Platform: Android, Apple iOS

Description:

In the Christmas event, Yuletide Gifts, the story sequence ‘Beat Out the Baddies’ shows a Snow Pokkle beckoning Kyle and friends to help their elder Snow King Pokkle who is on a rampage after “eating a white monster.”

After defeating it in a battle, another story sequence ‘Forest Disaster Maker’ plays, that shows the Snow King Pokkle spitting out what turns out to be a Loug Mez. The Snow Pokkle then reveals its elder did not eat just one, but “lots and lots,” and thus, the event involves repeatedly attacking the Snow King Pokkle and defeating as many Loug Mez that it spits out as possible. Although the game does state it is spitting them out, since the sprite art does not show a visible mouth on the King Pokkle enemies, the Loug Mez tend to just appear in front of the Snow King Pokkle.

The event concludes with the Snow King Pokkle regaining lucidity after spitting out all the Loug Mez it ate, and gifting Kyle and friends gifts in appreciation.

The Great Malboro enemies can be encountered in the Omega Ruins, Inside Sin or the Monster Arena if captured. If attacked with Delay Attack/Buster, it will counter by chomping the party member who inflicted Delay on it, before spitting them out. Interestingly, Aeons can also fall prey to the chomp attack, including Valefor (bird-like Aeon), Ifrit (demon-like Aeon), Ixion (unicorn Aeon), Shiva (female ice-elemental Aeon), Bahamut (dragon Aeon) and Anima (monster-like Aeon).

The Malboro Menace, which can only be fought in the Monster Arena, apparently has this ability as well, however, it seems to be much more difficult to trigger it to use its chomping attack.
